The Heroes Program

The Heroes Program is a 90-day wellness journey designed for veterans, EMS, firefighters, first responders, law enforcement and public servants. This program creates a supportive space where those who serve our communities can come together, connect, and invest in their own well-being. Through guided workouts, shared experiences, and a strong sense of community, participants are encouraged to give themselves the same level of care, dedication, and compassion they offer others every day.

Heroes I Program participants - first group held at Mesabi Fit!

Program Overview

In this program, you’ll join a dedicated group that meets twice a week. Each session begins with a workout led by our on site personal trainer, followed by a meaningful group discussion focused on resilience and performance skills led by a group facilitator.

New members will receive a welcome packet with program details, a notebook for journaling and reflection, and a full Mesabi Fit membership for the entire 90 days.

If you are an active Mesabi Fit member, your account will be placed on hold for the 90-day duration of the program. Consistent attendance is required to maintain this hold status.

Your Hero membership includes:

  • 24/7 Access

  • Group Workouts

  • Group Fitness Classes

  • FOD (Fitness on Demand) access

  • Hero Only Events - Participate in Hero workshops, Hero only group activities , and celebration events.

Group Support & Discussion

The discussion portion of the Heroes Program is a supportive space designed to strengthen mental resilience through guided conversations, mental exercises, and Mental Resilience Training (MRT).

These sessions focus on building emotional awareness, stress management tools, confidence, and inner strength in a way that feels encouraging and empowering. Participants are invited to engage in open discussions, reflective activities, and resilience-building exercises that promote growth both individually and as a group.

Attendance is required however participation not forced. The experience becomes more meaningful when you actively engage but there is no pressure. There are no mandatory assignments, no required homework, and no forced sharing. This is a judgment-free environment where you are welcome to contribute at your own comfort level.

The Heroes Program operates on a simple philosophy, you get out of it what you put into it, whether you choose to actively participate in every discussion or simply listen and reflect, the space is designed to meet you where you are and support your personal growth journey.

Group Workouts

The workout portion of the HEROES Program is led by our onsite personal trainer, who brings extensive knowledge and experience in strength training, functional movement, and overall physical development.

Each session is thoughtfully designed to target different areas of the body while improving strength, endurance, mobility, and overall performance. Workouts are structured yet adaptable, allowing participants to train at their own level while still being challenged appropriately.

Our trainer focuses not only on physical progress, but also on proper form, injury prevention, and building confidence in movement. Whether you are new to training or already experienced, the program is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow stronger, physically and mentally.

The goal is sustainable progress, improved body awareness, and building a foundation of strength that supports everyday life and long-term wellness.

Hero Graduation & Events

The Heroes Program is about more than training, it’s about connection, community, and creating meaningful experiences together.

Throughout the program, participants take part in group activities. Activities from our last group included a White Elephant during the holidays and monthly game night.

We also celebrate each participant’s growth with a formal graduation event. Last group, we proudly hosted our graduation ceremony at the Elks Club, recognizing the hard work, commitment, and resilience each Hero demonstrated throughout the program.

These shared experiences create memories that extend far beyond workouts and discussions, they help build confidence, belonging, and a true sense of accomplishment.
